Petit Village Records is stoked to welcome Montréal’s Museums with the release of their latest single “In Waves”!
Following 2024's Sink Your Teeth In My Brain EP, In Waves marks a new evolution to the band’s eclectic musical dynamics, adding new layers, both emotional and sonic to the band’s impressive pallet. The confluence of sound emerging from Museums has every part locked into place effortlessly, like a rolling tide, washing over and over, only to reveal Ali Kouri’s evocative and artful lyrics that speak universal truths about feeling stuck, while watching everyone else go by…the ebb and flow of being in constant motion and yet simultaneously constantly stuck in one place.
Montreal's Museums is the psychedelic, shoegaze, indie-rock project of Ali Kouri, Nic Barkun, AnthonyKameka, and Lou Raskin. Their music is characterized by impulsive, evocative vocals coupled with dense, layered guitars, distortion, and driving drums.
In Waves is out now on all the usual suspects. Following the release of In Waves, we are also stoked to announce that Museums will be releasing a second single “Ur Best” on May 30th!
