Museums “Faded” out Today!!
Today! Friday May 8, sees the release of Montreal art/pop provocateurs Museums new single, "Faded" from the forthcoming six song EP, "This Can't Be It". "Faded" exudes a gauzy summer vibe, like the haze of a sleepless night burning away in the morning light. Twinkling guitars sparkle, while heavier under currents rise to the surface.
With "This Can't Be It", Museums once again rearrange their sonic building blocks and present listeners with new sounds that expand upon their art / pop alchemy. "This Can't Be It" flexes a variety of melodic turns throughout the six song run time, from Dead Birthday's crunchy urgency to the titular "This Can't Be It" and its festival ready chorus, to the lilting reflection of Bends. The many moods of summer all find their way onto "This Can't Be It".
First single "Trade" has an anthemic pop-leaning propulsion that stands in stark contrast to the band's previous, emotionally brooding "Lost / Can't Stop" double single, and it feels tailor-made for warm-weather listening, beverage in hand.
"This Can't Be It", arrives June 12th on all digital platforms + cassette w/ download.
Museums are scheduled to play OSHEAGA Festival in Montréal, QC on Saturday August 1, 2026.
